About 35 years after his death I like to once again remind Don Luigi Storino , Pollena pastor from 1953 to 1975.
In 1997 I had the opportunity to write several articles ("The Journal of Naples ", " Metropolis" and "Hermes ") dedicated to this priest, I also hope that he be named after a town road.

Cercola, Don Luigi gained his priestly vocation with Don Eduardo Fasano and entered the seminary where he was followed by Don Vincenzo Malasomma . Don Luigi was ordained a priest in 1944 and was immediately sent to Volla as pastor. Then, in 1953, was appointed pastor of the community of St. James the Apostle of Pollen. In this parish, Father Luigi became involved and enhances the Eucharistic adoration, dealing mostly of prayer and the apostolate of Catholic Action.
Among the incidents that marked the pastoral ministry of Don Luigi Storino in Pollena, we must remember two air disasters that occurred on Mount Somma: The first occurred Feb. 15, 1958, the second was consumed the night before Easter 1964. In both cases, all passengers of the aircraft died.

Don Luigi died in Pompeii where 13 November 1975 had gone with some of the faithful at the back of the image of the Virgin.
